As an advanced level of education from the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Master's Program in Natural Resources and Environmental Management, our study program focuses on providing education in the field of natural resources and environmental management, which is carried out in an integrated manner with an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approach.

Supported by the best individuals with extensive experience and high integrity in teaching, our study program is firmly committed to making graduates academics, researchers, and productive professionals in natural resources and environmental management by prioritizing logical, critical, systematic, and creative thinking.

History

2004

Human Resources (HR) with doctoral qualifications in the field of Natural Resource and Environmental Management (PSL) are needed to carry out development that is environmentally sustainable in the framework of autonomy and the era of globalization which is full of competition. In anticipating the need for human resources, the Universitas Sumatera Utara opened a Doctoral Program (S3) in Natural Resource and Environmental Management (PSL) which concentrates on agro-industrial environmental management and social management of Sumatran communities, starting in the 2004/2005 academic year in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of DEPDIKNAS No. 3184/D/T/2004 dated August 19, 2004.
