A remarkable achievement has once again been accomplished by an alumnus of the Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Drs. H. Hasrul Azwar, M.M., was awarded the prestigious Royal Medal Wissam Malaki by the King of Morocco in recognition of his outstanding contributions and dedication during his tenure as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Morocco and Mauritania. This distinguished honor is a source of pride for the entire USU Master of Management community and reflects the global achievements and excellence of its alumni.

The Master's Program in Management organized a Teaching Practitioner Program for the Business Management Capita Selecta course as part of its commitment to enhancing the quality of learning through collaboration with industry. The program featured Dr. Fikri Al-Haq Fachryana, S.TP., MM., MH., CLMP., CPSCM., CPM., who shared his professional experience in logistics management, Supply Chain Management, distribution strategies, and managerial decision-making within business organizations. Through presentations, interactive discussions, and case study analyses, students gained a more comprehensive understanding of the practical application of management theories in industry.

Students and faculty members of the Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara conducted an academic visit to the Rubber Research Institute of Vietnam to explore research practices, innovation, and industrial development. The activity aimed to broaden participants’ understanding of the application of research outcomes in enhancing industrial competitiveness and promoting sustainable innovation.

The International Academic Exposure in Business & Management Program provided students of the Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (MM USU) with opportunities to broaden their international perspectives through cross-border academic activities. The program included academic discussions, visits to institutions and industry stakeholders, as well as direct interactions with academics and practitioners from partner countries, allowing participants to gain practical insights into global business practices. The program aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of international business practices, expand academic networks, and enhance their competencies in addressing challenges within the global business environment.

The Master's Program in Management, School of Postgraduate, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized another Teaching Practitioner Program featuring Dr. Suhendri, SE., MM, Director of Human Resources and Information Technology at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV, as the keynote speaker. Delivering a session on "Corporate Business Projects," the program was designed to enrich students' understanding of business project development, strategic management, organizational transformation, and the practical application of management theories in the corporate environment.
