The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the Postgraduate School Development Plan Meeting (Musrenbang), an important event that attracts the attention of stakeholders in higher education. This activity was held from October 6 to 7, 2023, at the Grand Mutiara Hotel Berastagi, North Sumatra.
The Musrenbang was attended by several important officials within the USU Postgraduate School (SPs), including the Director of SPs, Prof. Ir. T. Sabrina, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D.; Deputy Director 1, Prof. Dr. Ir. Evawany Yunita Aritonang, M.Si.; and Deputy Director 2, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc. Their presence marked the institution's strong commitment to developing and improving the quality of higher education in the postgraduate field.
The event also featured the Head of the Master's PWD/Doctoral PW Study Program, Dr. Ir. Satia Negara Lubis, M.Ec., Head of the Master's PSL Study Program, Prof. Rahmawaty S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D., Head of the Master Program in Management, Prof. Dr. Meilita Tryana Sembiring, ST, MT, and Head of the Master Program in Property Management and Valuation, Prof. Dr. Elisabet Siahaan SE, M.Ec.. They are all major figures in the world of education at the USU Postgraduate School and have a major contribution to the development of postgraduate programs at this university.
This Musrenbang is an important momentum for discussing various strategic aspects related to the management and development of the USU Postgraduate School. The meeting participants also discussed facility improvements, curriculum development, and innovative measures that can be implemented to maintain and improve the quality of higher education at this school.
This meeting also emphasized the graduate school's commitment to establishing broader and more sustainable collaborations with various parties, including stakeholders, academics, and local governments.
On this occasion, SPs USU also formulated a strategic plan that is expected to ensure that the Postgraduate School of the Universitas Sumatera Utara remains relevant, competitive, and effective in facing the challenges of the changing world of education. All parties present are committed to making maximum contributions to supporting the vision and mission of the graduate school and ensuring that the quality of higher education at USU remains the best.
