Medan, March 7, 2025 — The Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (MM USU) organized a Public Lecture with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan at the MM USU Auditorium, beginning at 4:00 p.m. WIB. The event was held to enhance students' understanding of Indonesia's employment social security system and the importance of workforce protection through the programs administered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
The event commenced with an opening session, followed by welcoming remarks from the program leadership. In the opening address, the speakers emphasized the importance of understanding the employment social security system as a key component of workforce protection in Indonesia, particularly for students as future professionals and leaders.
The program continued with a presentation delivered by representatives of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, introducing the institution, its employment social security schemes, and the benefits these programs provide to both employees and employers. The speakers explained several key programs, including Work Accident Insurance, Old-Age Security, Pension Security, and Death Benefits, while highlighting their role in safeguarding workers' welfare. The presentation was delivered interactively, enabling participants to develop a comprehensive understanding of Indonesia's employment social security system.
Following the presentation, the event featured an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, during which students had the opportunity to raise questions and engage directly with the speakers regarding the programs and services offered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
Through this public lecture, students gained broader knowledge of Indonesia's employment social security system and the various programs administered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
