Medan, March 7, 2025 – The Master of Management Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a public lecture titled "Implementation of Risk Management at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan." The event occurred in the Master of Management Hall at USU and featured speakers from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kanwil Sumbagut.
In this public lecture, I Nyoman Suarjaya, Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kanwil Sumbagut, provided insights into the risk management strategies and implementation within BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
With his experience and expertise, he explained the importance of risk mitigation in managing social security for workers and the challenges faced in the process.
The public lecture was also attended by Prof. Ir. T. Sabrina, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., Director of the USU Graduate School; Prof. Dr. Ir. Evawany Yunita Aritonang, M.Si, Deputy Director of the Graduate School; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Melita Tryana Sembiring, ST., MT., IPU., Head of the Master of Management Program at USU. These three academics emphasized that understanding risk management is crucial for students, especially in an increasingly complex professional and business environment.
The event, which began at 4:00 PM WIB, was enthusiastically received by students and academics. Participants and speakers dynamically engaged in an interactive discussion that explored various aspects of risk in Indonesia’s social security system for workers.
Through this public lecture, it is hoped that students will gain a deeper understanding of risk management in large institutions like BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and be able to apply this understanding in their future careers.
