Selangor, Malaysia - Head of the Master & Doctoral Program in Natural Resources and Environmental Management (PSL) at the Graduate School of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (SPs USU), Prof. Ir. Rahmawaty, S. Hut., MSi., Ph.D., IPU., played a role representing the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) at the International Conference of Science, Technology, and Social Sciences (ICONSTAS 2023).
This activity occurred between December 12 and 13, 2023 in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The activity which is themed on cooperation in the field of education is a collaboration between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universitas Hasanuddin (UNHAS), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), IPB University, Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Universitas Andalas (UNAND), and Universitas Mataram (UNRAM).
ICONSTAS 2023 provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, problems, and practical challenges in science, technology, and social sciences. This year's conference theme is “Embracing Sciences, Technology and Social Transformation for a Sustainable Tomorrow.”
Among the event's highlights are presentations by leading experts in various fields, parallel sessions covering various topics, and opportunities to network and form new academic and professional partnerships.
In addition to participating in ICONSTAS 2023, a delegation from the Universitas Sumatera Utara, represented by Prof. Rahmawaty, also conducted follow-up related to the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) relating to the Three Pillars of Higher Education and Implementation Arrangement (IA) with UiTM.
“PSL USU management uses this moment to establish cooperation with UiTM Malaysia,” said Prof. Rahmawaty in her statement on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Prof. Rahmawaty and Prof. Abdul Rauf conducted a University Visit to UiTM Malaysia and signed an MoU between PSL USU and the Faculty of Applied Sciences, UiTM.
The process of preparing a program of activities to meet the cooperation of the two universities is still in progress, with the hope that this collaboration can strengthen the good relationship between PSL USU and UiTM Malaysia.
