The Postgraduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) participated in the International Seminar and Annual Meeting of the Forum of Postgraduate Leaders (FORPIMPAS), which was held at the Universitas Indonesia campus, Jakarta, on 14–15 December 2023.

The event was attended by representatives of the USU Postgraduate School, namely Prof. Ir. T. Sabrina, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah Harahap, M.Sc., and Prof. Rahmawaty, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. The presence of these academics reflects the active role of the USU Postgraduate School in strategic forums for the development of postgraduate education at the national level.

The series of activities included an international seminar featuring speakers from within and outside the country, addressing current topics related to improving the quality of postgraduate education, strengthening research, and expanding cross-institutional academic collaboration. In addition, the FORPIMPAS Annual Meeting served as a forum for discussion and coordination among postgraduate leaders in formulating work programs and strategies for institutional strengthening in the future.

The participation of the USU Postgraduate School in this activity demonstrates the institution’s commitment to supporting academic development, enhancing research quality, and strengthening national and international cooperation networks. It is hoped that this participation will provide a tangible contribution to improving the quality of postgraduate education at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
