The Master’s Program in Property Management and Valuation at the Postgraduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara (MMPP SPs USU) held a welcoming event for new students of the 2026/2027 Academic Year, combined with an alumni gathering, on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Held in a hybrid format at the SPs USU Hall, the event brought together new students, alumni, the MMPP Student Association (IMMPP) board, and the graduate school leadership in a forum dedicated to fostering connections.
The event commenced with remarks from a new student representative, followed by a welcome address and insightful guidance from the Head of the MMPP SPs USU Program, Prof. Dr. Elisabet Siahaan, S.E. In her address, she encouraged the new students to pursue their master's studies diligently and to leverage the alumni network as a means to broaden their perspectives and advance their careers in the field of property valuation.
This welcoming event serves as a tangible manifestation of the commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering an academic ecosystem that is welcoming, inclusive, and future-oriented. The synergy between the academic community and the extended alumni family also aligns with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by establishing a platform for sharing knowledge and professional experiences.
The series of activities concluded with an official closing ceremony in the afternoon, followed by an epilogue session, a break, and a social gathering for the extended MMPP SPs USU family. Through this occasion, it is hoped that new students will be able to adapt quickly and contribute actively to the advancement of the fields of property management and valuation.
