The Journal of Environmental and Development Studies (JEDS) of Universitas Sumatera Utara has officially received SINTA 3 accreditation based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Number 156/C/C3/KPT/2026 dated April 7, 2026, regarding the New Accreditation Rankings for Scientific Journals Rank 3 to 6, Period II of 2025.
This designation is part of the results of the periodic accreditation evaluation of national scientific journals conducted by the government. The accreditation rating obtained is valid for 5 (five) years from the volume and issue number evaluated, as stated in the decision.
With this achievement, JEDS is expected to continue improving the quality of its scientific publications, maintain the standards of the peer-review process, and strengthen journal governance in accordance with applicable accreditation regulations.
