Medan, May 10, 2025 — The Master of Management Program at the Postgraduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) successfully held the 2nd International Joint Conference on Digitalisation of Sustainable Social Sciences (IJCDSS) 2025. The hybrid-format conference occurred on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at USU’s Digital Learning Center.
Carrying the theme “Sustainable Business: Balancing Economic Growth and Environmental Preservation in the Digital Era,” IJCDSS 2025 served as a platform for academics, researchers, and professionals from various countries to engage in discussions and share innovative ideas in the field of digitalised sustainable social sciences.
This year, the conference reached a new milestone by officially establishing a strategic partnership with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. As part of this five-year collaboration, IJCDSS 2026 will be hosted at UiTM, marking the beginning of a sustained cross-border cooperation in advancing the digitalisation of social sciences.
Throughout the conference, various key topics were explored, including digital transformation in the social sciences, sustainable business, and technological innovations supporting sustainable development. Participants engaged in rich interdisciplinary discussions that further strengthened cross-sector and international collaboration.
