The Master's Program in Management at the Postgraduate School, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), participated in the Higher Education Quality Assurance Workshop organized by Universitas Sumatera Utara. The workshop featured Prof. Dr. Slamet Wahyudi, S.T., M.T., Executive Board Member of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), as the keynote speaker to strengthen the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) across the university. The event was held in accordance with Law No. 12 of 2012 on Higher Education and Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Regulation No. 39 of 2025 on Higher Education Quality Assurance.
The participation of the USU Master's Program in Management in this workshop aligns with the Program's vision of producing innovative, globally competitive managers with meaningful social impact. Strengthening a culture of quality serves as a fundamental pillar in ensuring that education, research, and academic services are continuously improved, enabling the Program to produce graduates who are adaptable to advancements in knowledge and the evolving demands of the global workforce.
The workshop also supports the Program's first and second missions, namely delivering business management education grounded in the BINTANG character, TALENTA excellence, and professional human resource development while producing innovative, competitive, and ethical graduates. Through the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), the Program continues to enhance its curriculum, learning processes, assessment methods, and academic governance to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Beyond strengthening educational quality, the workshop served as a collaborative platform for university leaders, faculty representatives, the Postgraduate School, and members of the Quality Assurance Units (GJM) and Quality Control Units (GKM) to foster a strong quality culture throughout USU. This collaborative effort also supports the Program's third mission by advancing education, research, and community engagement that create meaningful benefits for society.
Through its participation in the Higher Education Quality Assurance Workshop, the USU Master's Program in Management reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving academic governance and cultivating a sustainable quality culture. This initiative represents an important step toward delivering excellent management education and producing professional graduates who are well prepared to compete at both the national and global levels.
