Master of Management USU Holds International Mobility Program to Malaysia and Thailand

Medan, February 2025—The Master of Management Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) remains committed to providing students with academic experiences and global insights. In this effort, USU is organizing the International Mobility and Cultural Exchange Program, which will take place from February 13-16, 2025, with Malaysia and Thailand as its destinations.

This program aims to give students a broader perspective on global business practices while fostering competitive managerial skills. In line with its vision, the Master of Management USU seeks to produce innovative managers with international competitiveness and a tangible social impact.

 

The Head of the Master of Management Study Program at USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Meilita Tryana Sembiring, ST., MT., IPU, stated that this program is a strategic step to enhance the international competitiveness of USU graduates.


"We want to ensure that students have a deep understanding of global business trends and build strong international networks," she said.

Through this mobility program, the Master of Management USU hopes to continue expanding international academic and industrial collaborations while providing students with a more applicable learning experience.

 

This program includes visits to various academic institutions and renowned companies in both countries. Students will have the opportunity to discuss, learn, and observe firsthand how business management practices are implemented internationally.

The academic trip includes various visits and study tours, such as:
Malaysia:

  • SD Guthrie – One of the world's largest palm oil producers.
  • Petronas Twin Towers – An iconic Malaysian landmark and economic hub.
  • Putrajaya – Malaysia's administrative center.


    Thailand:

  • Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) – The governing body for Thailand’s rubber industry.
  • Bangkok University International – A leading private university with globally oriented programs.
  • Cultural visits to Wat Arun, Big Bee Farm, and Pratunam Mall.

With this mobility program, the Master of Management USU hopes to continue expanding academic and industrial collaborations at the international level while providing a more applicative learning experience for its students. - BN
