Medan, October 18, 2023 - Today, the Postgraduate School of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an activity “Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Master's Education Towards Doctoral Scholarship Program for Superior Scholars (PMDSU) Batch IV and V Year 2023”. This activity brought two PMDSU promoters: Prof. Dr. Robert Sibarani, MS (Promoter of PMDSU batch IV), and Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita ST., MT (Promoter of PMDSU batch V). This monev activity is not an ordinary meeting, but an important moment for PMDSU organizers, USU Postgraduate School, and PMDSU scholarship awardee students to gain a clearer and more complete understanding of the development of studies and research results being pursued.
PMDSU Batch IV awardees from the USU Postgraduate School featured talented faces such as Halimatussakdiah from the Linguistics Doctoral Study Program, Immanuel Silaban from the Linguistics Doctoral Study Program, and Rony Abdi Syahputra from the Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctoral Study Program. While Batch V boasts the presence of Agung Wahyudhi Atmanegara from the Accounting Science Doctoral Study Program, and Yogie P Sibagariang from the Mechanical Engineering Science Doctoral Study Program.
This meeting is not just a social gathering but also a means to evaluate the results of internal monitoring carried out by the School / Postgraduate Program as the organizer of the PMDSU Scholarship. This is an important step in ensuring the quality of this scholarship program so that each recipient can achieve maximum results in their journey toward a doctoral degree.
The PMDSU scholarship program, with its focus on education from master's to doctoral level, is a journey that spurs the abilities and talents of the recipients. Through this program, excellent scholars can earn a doctorate at a relatively young age, which will not only give them wider opportunities in the academic world but also be a valuable contribution to the development of science.
The purpose of this activity is to obtain a clearer and more complete understanding of the progress of studies and research results of PMDSU Scholarship recipients.
Deputy Director I of the USU Postgraduate School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Evawany Yunita Aritonang, M.Si., expressed her hope that this meeting would motivate the scholarship recipients to continue to excel and achieve outstanding results in their studies and research.
This meeting has given a new spirit to the PMDSU scholarship recipients. The spirit to continue to develop, innovate, and make meaningful contributions to the world of education and science.
