As part of strengthening international academic networks, students and lecturers of the Master's Program in Property Management and Valuation at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted an academic visit to the National University of Singapore (NUS). This activity aimed to introduce USU's Master's Program in Property Management and Valuation to the Master of Science Real Estate (MSc) Program at the NUS Business School, while also gaining deeper insights into the education system and career opportunities in the NUS MSc Real Estate program.
The visit provided participants with the opportunity to study the MSc Real Estate curriculum at NUS, understand the background and scope of academic teaching, and learn about the various facilities offered by NUS to support both on-campus and off-campus learning activities. Additionally, participants gained valuable insights into the career prospects of graduates from the MSc Real Estate program, which focuses on the global real estate market.
Prof. Dr. Elisabet Siahaan, Head of the Master's Program in Property Management and Valuation at USU, stated that this visit represents a strategic step toward opening broader collaboration opportunities between USU and NUS. "We hope this visit not only broadens the perspectives of our students and lecturers but also becomes a gateway for academic and research collaborations that benefit both institutions," she said.
In addition to discussions and curriculum overviews, participants were invited to tour the NUS campus to directly observe its state-of-the-art facilities. This activity provided students and lecturers with a tangible understanding of how NUS supports holistic learning processes.
This academic visit is expected to inspire the Master's Program in Property Management and Valuation at USU to continue improving its educational quality and strengthening its role in producing competent graduates in property management and valuation, both nationally and internationally.
