Master's Program

The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Master's Program in Management is a postgraduate program focusing on management and business studies. The program aims to prepare students to become professional managers who are competent, integrated, and able to provide relevant ideas and works in the context of changes in the international environment. The program offers various concentrations, such as Finance and Banking, Digital Business, Marketing, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management.

This study program has a vision "To become a master study program that excels in the field of management and produces graduates who can compete in the ASEAN region in 2030". Graduates of the USU Master's Program in Management Program are expected to have a deep understanding of the latest management concepts and face global business challenges with a competitive advantage. Students who have completed this study program will hold a Master of Science (M.Si.) degree.

History

1997

The Master's Program in Management of the Graduate School of Universitas Sumatera Utara (MM USU), with two classes (namely classes A and B) consisting of 36 and 28 people, began carrying out educational activities in 1997 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education No. 516/DIKTI/KEP/1996. The first chairman of the Master of Management was Prof. Dr. Munaf Hamid Siregar, MA, SC, CP. The first lecture was held in Batch I on Monday, April 28, 1997, with two classes (A and B) of 36 and 28 people, respectively. Of the 64 students, 57 have completed their studies and obtained the MM (Master of Management) degree.

2004

USU Master's Program in Management is a study program accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) of the Ministry of National Education with Decree: 082/BAN-PT/Ak-III/S2/X/2004.
