Expanding Global Perspectives: MM USU Organizes the International Mobility & Cultural Exchange Program The Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (MM USU) organized the International Mobility & Cultural Exchange Program on August 1, 2025, as part of its commitment to enhancing educational quality and expanding international collaboration. The program provided students and faculty members with opportunities to gain academic experience and develop intercultural understanding through seminars, academic discussions, and cross-country presentations. In addition to its academic activities, participants engaged in various cultural exchange experiences, including introductions to local culture, visits to historical landmarks, and direct interaction with local communities. Through these activities, participants broadened their global perspectives, gained a deeper understanding of cultural diversity and international education systems, and strengthened their academic networks and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment. 30 July 2026

MM USU Master of Management Alumni Gathering: Reconnecting Alumni and Strengthening Professional Networks The Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (MM USU) held an Alumni Gathering on June 7, 2025, at Mosaku Café, Medan, as a platform to strengthen relationships among alumni, students, and the academic community while fostering professional networks across various fields. The event began with remarks from the Head of the Study Program, followed by a session in which alumni shared their career journeys, workplace challenges, and strategies for developing professional competencies. The gathering also featured interactive discussions among alumni, students, and faculty members, providing students with valuable insights and motivation from experienced professionals. Beyond serving as a forum for knowledge sharing, the Alumni Gathering strengthened ties among participants and created opportunities for sustainable collaboration and professional networking. MM USU Expo & MSME Exhibition 2024: A Platform for Synergy Among Academics, Business Practitioners, and Students to Support a Community-Based Economy The Master's Program in Management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara (MM USU) organized the MM USU Expo & MSME Exhibition 2024 from November 28–30, 2024, at the USU Student Center as part of the university's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and empowering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The event commenced with an MSME Talk featuring the Deputy Minister of MSMEs, the Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, executives from PTPN Holding and Bank SUMUT, and the Head of the MM USU Program, with support from Bank SUMUT, Inalum, and Bank Indonesia. The program continued with entrepreneurship seminars covering business development strategies, product innovation, and digital marketing, alongside an MSME exhibition showcasing food, beverages, and handicraft products. Workshop on Academic Process Design Based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and National Standards for Higher Education (SN DIKTI) The Workshop on Academic Process Design Based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Standards for Higher Education (SN DIKTI) was organized as an initiative to enhance the quality of higher education implementation through strengthening the understanding of lecturers and educational staff regarding national education standards. This activity provided participants with insights into the implementation of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Standards for Higher Education (SN DIKTI) in curriculum development, graduate learning outcomes (CPL), and the design of learning processes that are relevant to the needs of the workforce.
